Transnet chairman Mafika Mkhwanazi was paid R1 million for presiding over eight board meetings, reported the Sunday Times.

His Eskom counterpart, Zola Tsotsi, earned R908,000 in the last financial year for the eight board meetings he chaired.

This is according to information contained in the latest annual reports by the two companies, said the Sunday Times.
