Why Socialist Central Planners Love The Census

On October 31, 2012, in Uncategorized, by Chris Becker

Despite the editing of the census being “chaotic and rushed” according to real experts, the census gives central planners in government more to do, to interfere even more in your life, and grow their control over private people of South Africa.

Manuel confirmed this yesterday in a comment about the ‘troubling’ income inequality in SA: “It confirms our worst fears and I think it represents us with an enormous challenge…”

That’s what central planning is all about: create a central plan for the socio-economy that results in unintended consequences that will require further interventions to correct in the future, which results in more central planning to correct these wrongs,  and more unintended consequences. Rinse. Repeat.

Through all of it, the state and its cronies grow rich by increasing their power and control over the people, while the people becomes less productive and less prosperous as a result.

It is therefore no wonder why Zuma and Manuel were applauding the census results with such glee yesterday.
