Regulation Hyperinflation

Government wants to regulate the amount of sodium food producers are allowed to use in their products, through amendments to the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act 54 of 1972.

Government wants to ban smoking of tobacco products in all public places and certain outdoor places, through amendments to the Tobacco Products Control Act 83 of 1993.

The irony is that both the above Acts were implemented in the “unfree”, “old” South Africa.

And a couple more in the pipeline from the Total South African State:

Government wants to coerce consumers into switching to digital TV services.

Government wants to prohibit advertising by alcohol companies.
